alam mo andaming nangyari tong year na to, at talaga namang it has been the best year of my life. ito na ang pinakamasaya at pinakamaaksyon kong taon. let me tell you the highlights:
1) i went to spain not once but twice. at may dagdag pang paris! ito talaga maiyak iyak ako kase naman di ba finally nakita ko na kung ano ung pinag-aralan ko
2) i went to iloilo, nagsasa and now im in el nido and we just came from puerto princesa -- all of them a few of my dream PH destinations
3) loved and lost A. i would like to thank him for making me believe in love again. even though we did not part ways very nicely, the loss is still of a positive note as i see it as an indication that we were lucky to realize that it's not meant to be and avoid years of unhappy and stressful life.
4) i went scuba diving!!! woahhh!
5) strengthened ties with friends and family. alam mo sa totoo lang (eto i say it without bitterness ha) whenever i look back, the ten happiest moments of my life were when i was with friends and family. i have gone and traveled to different places with people i've had romantic involvements with pero it always gets fucked up one way or another. i swear parati kaming nag-aaway, walang mintis. and this goes back to J days pa ha.
ewan, maybe it's the unconditionality and the absence of complications of these platonic and familiar relationships that make me enjoy them more. alam mo ung feeling na kahit shitty ka paminsan minsan, or kahit di ka best on something, alam mong meron pa ring naniniwala sayo at will welcome you with loving arms. grabe sa PM, ilang beses na ko naging mean sa bawat isa sa kanila... i always abandon them pa when i get a bf.. pero andyan pa din sila to support me during my trying times. nakikimura kapag galit na galit ako sa isang tao. nakikikilig pag masaya ako. it's like having a lot of soulmates. nakakatuwa na we can all finish each other's sentences. at saka ang acronyms, it's like we speak the same language and it's fun to have people like that in your life. HK is such a stressful place, but with friends like them, can you really complain when you get a setback on work or lovelife?
so what's in store for 2012? i've two trips lined up already. a solo backpack trip in bangkok and cambodia. plus a trip to phuket. easter im thinking of going to sichuan. then we're thinking of another big bang vacation second half of next year.
workwise, more bonus! and july 2012 shall be the last time i will apply for visa. then it's permanently HK we belong together by 2013!!!
2012 shall be a year of positivity, balance, and more fun.

minsan tanga talaga ko when it comes to relationships...
when i was venting out to my friends last week about the times na inaaway ako ni A in the four months that we were together, narealize kong i've been emotionally tortured countless times. grabe pala talaga insecurities nya. they dont have to tell me what a jerk he'd been pero sukdulan pala syang manakit ng tao mentally and emotionally. papa jesus salamat for this way out. i'd rather be alone than not be myself, and suffer in a relationship with an asshole.
i've never met anyone who seemed to have a lot of blessings but still be negative on everything that he got. yes you have to be always yearning for excellence, but that does not mean it gives you the right to hurt other people who care for you. im so stupid, he cannot even appreciate his family fully, what more ako? alam mo meron pa ngang mga broken family na centered on love pa din. pero sya mismo dinidistansya nya sarili nya sa family nya. who am i to expect that he would be nice to me? im sorry but even though i've been hurt so many times and my family and friends let me down a few times, im still the same loving person and everyone around me appreciate that and they try to be nice to me in return.
all those times that he'd been suspicious about me and my male friend, and all the times that i've been prohibited to send messages to my friends, to calling me fat and so many bad things... im actually amazed we lasted 4 months. see, im told you im stupid.
if there's one thing that i learned after my first real heartbreak, it would be to not hold any grudge. yes you need time to cry over it and you take as much time you need to move on, but dont hold grudge and generalize that all men are like that. minsan talaga inaalat ka, pero suswertehin ka din no! dont be cynical about the next person that you're involved with. every person is different. they will love (and hurt) you differently.
may mga nasayang na plane tickets (palawan, and phuket) pero ok lang un. alam mo ung pera pwedeng mabalik un sa bonus pero ung stress being with someone who's just opposite of what love is supposed to be, then dont ever fret about the money. life is too short to be with people who seem to be happy pulling you down. im not getting any younger so im trying to keep away from things that may give me wrinkles.
i cried over it for a week or so. but now that things are clearer im just happy that im out. no more negative vibes. i wish he finishes his dissertation with flying colors and he'd become a topnotch finance professor here. i wish for myself continuous happiness and love from friends and family and hopefully a special guy soon.

so eto na naman...
so tapos na kame ni A.
punyeta lang talaga. i've been with several bad relationships. may isang sira ulo, ung isa pinagpalit ako sa college bestfriend ko, ung isa may asawa... tapos eto. actually akala ko jackpot na ko. kase naman super talino, may itsura naman, ang ganda ng katawan, maalaga.. di talaga ko nagsayang ng oras na ideclare sa mundo na syota ko sya. pinakilala ko sa lahat ng friends ko, kahit ung mga di ko madalas kinikita. pinangangalandakan ko pa sa facebook. masaya kame. we travel a lot. we do different things. saka minahal ko talaga sya. di ako super attracted sa umpisa, pero it grows on you, you know. and i guess that's the type of love that we're expecting to last.
pero deep inside di pala kame masaya. di pala sya masaya. actually nararamdaman ko naman dati pa. alam mo ung napapansin mong di na madalas magmessage, tapos pag nagkita kayo di mo na maramdaman na namiss ka nya. and the intimacy level, sobrang baba talaga. it's like we do things at the same time, but not together. gets mo? kumakain kame ng wala man lang pinag-uusapan. We don’t even kiss that much. basta iba.
alam mo matiisin akong tao when it comes to relationships. sobrang forgiving ko pa. kase ang motto ko: hangga't may konting love, kahit 0.0001% na lang, ipaglaban mo. wag ka bibigay. You don’t want to look back a few years later thinking what if you give it one last try. madalas ako magtampo pero after 1 hour nakalimutan ko na yun. kase di talaga ako nagtatanim ng galit. kase alam ko mahal kita, and i will hold on to that... bumibigay lang ako pag nafeel kong ako na lang pala ang lumalaban. siguro dahil dito kaya i always end up with jerks. or maybe good guys that felt they can get away with it if they do a jerky thing for once.
We are the most inclusive Group that you will meet. Tapos my friends love me too much that they will love any one that matter to me. Nakakainis kase parang paimportante. He’s a rightful member of the group pero di naman ako nagkulang na balitaan sya on time. May 2 couple na ganito and there wasn’t a complaint from them. My friends have been reaching out and I thought they’re ok pero di pala for him. The school will not adjust for you. It will just create an environment that’s conducive for you, but you still need the guts, less pride and more compromise to make it work.
He’s the most serious person i know. As in lahat kinocompute. Lahat may dahilan. Lahat nakabudget. The fuck lang di ba? Papa Jesus, sablay naman binigay mo, ano ba yan.
Akala ko nagsimula lang to dahil di ako naggood morning. I thought ang babaw. I know love stories almost always end up in shitty endings, but I don’t want it to be as petty as forgetting to greet. All along pala he just does not see me that way. Not even worth the try to make it work. Sabi nya at least ako I have friends to get me through this, sya alone. And seriously I didn’t feel sorry for him regarding this, not one bit. Not primarily because he’s the one who’s causing me the pain. But because he brought this to himself. If you’re too busy earning a degree or monetizing everything you see, then what’s the point of life? Isn’t life meant to be spent with friends and family, go out into the world, meet people who will amaze (and hurt) you? Ako when I die tomorrow di nako magrereklamo pag nameet ko ang supreme being (kung meron man). I lived and loved to the fullest. I would not ask for extension kase sayang naman ung milyones ko sa bangko na di ko ginamit because I was too busy saving, or to tell someone I loved him/her. He’s a realist. I’m a dreamer.
But I have to say that would be 4 months well spent. It’s the shortest relationship I had, kase alam mo naman ako talagang nilolong term ang mga bagay bagay. Dito lang talaga naging forced short term. Ang dami naming nagawa at napuntahan. Nag-China, Pinas, Europe, Malaysia kame. I sorta became a bit mature din. Pero I’m just looking at it on a positive note. Things feel lighter now as I’m free and can be as spontaneous as I had always been. Aah, spontaneity welcome back. How I missed you.

around march this year we went to the annual HK flower show. i've been consistently going to this show ever since i got to HK. i have less number of beautiful photos this year. not sure if it's my decreasing enthusiasm to take photos back then, or there were really less beautiful subjects to capture. i was with friends and we were able to finish the show in an hour. this is my favorite shot from that group. i think the flowers were captured quite well on that metal ball. i want to keep taking photos for the rest of my life!!!

because the baby is now a lady... aawww, my little girl is really all grown up. she's taller than me now, i think. i could still remember how i used to borrow her from my mom and i would carry her in my arms. now she's got constant textmates and she hates her teachers, who used to be my teachers also. now i feel old.

we went to see an international volleyball match (FIVB, hk leg). it's my favorite sport to watch. i think it's the most exciting game. i was with a and we were so into trash talking as if we belong to the country of the players. he won the first match, i did on the second. all the same we were pda-ing all throughout the game. good times!

sorry but it's very late and i still have a meeting tomorrow.
ill share with you the camera shot that i have from the THE SCRIPT concert that the whole gang went to last april. they were ok, i liked the projected images at the background. my heart beat when they sang 2 songs that i liked. but if they were to hold a concert again and the ticket is just a fraction of what i paid last time (we got the expensive standing ticket), i would not waste my time. still, good times!

this is about the yogathon i did earlier this year. i mentioned about it on my older posts but never really told the story. it was on a sunday and i came from a very late night out with friends. the call time was at 11am but i had to wake up earlier because it is quite far from where i live. this would be the first time that i'd be doing outdoor yoga. just imagine the direct sunlight, dusty street, and constant distraction from people going around everywhere. it's just against all that is yoga.
it's an 8hr affair. participants could always go for much less as the event consisted of 8 x 1hr yoga sessions sponsored by different yoga centers. i've always had the intention to finish all the 8hrs. i've been addicted to yoga ever since the year started and i think this would be one of the turning points that would indicate if i really liked it or not. i was close to giving up after the fourth hour. imagine being there since 11am, then you miss your lunch and afternoon snack, and you know you'd be exhausted to take dinner. but i somehow managed to pull myself through and i looked at is as half-empty half-full analogy. i was halfway finished. just a little more effort and i could finish my goal. and i did. im glad i did. there were so many useless challenges/dares in my life that i dont really have to do, but i did anyway... but this feat is really one of a kind and im happy i didnt fold.
why?
1) im doing this for the breast cancer foundation
2) it is my form of salutation to yoga, the hobby that kept me sane and grounded for all of 2011. nothing could ever give me much peace than yoga.
3) i'd take it as the most taxing physical activity i've had so far
4) when i posted this photo in facebook, A commented for the first time and he kept liking my posts eversince. and the love story began. :)
thank you yogathon!!!

hey guys, im back. this is the first day that i am living my life as a 28 year old woman so i thought of reviving this project.
this is our most recent family pic. i took this when we were on our last family vacation in cebu last year.
we're not the ideal family, but we get along very fine. we had a rough start. well im not saying it's a good situation now, but we are better off. if i were to live my life again, i would still want my mama and papa to be my parents and i would not trade my sister. i am what i am now because of the constant love from the three people in this picture.

i've never been this happy!!!
i got a new bf.
he's the most intelligent, principled, sweetest person i know. and he's the coolest, sanest, most wonderful person i could ever have.
the love is just overwhelming!
a few months ago I swore that I would rub to my ex’s that I got a new relationship. now I couldn’t be bothered anymore about them. it’s easy to say that it’s good it didn’t turn out well with them and I am happier now. but you see, even if my new bf is my first love, I would still feel such happiness. I found my ideal guy and as a bonus he’s crazy in love with me, too!!!

Buti na lang _____, at _______ (part 1)
1) Buti na lang at hinigpitan ako ng nanay ko nung tinedyer ako, at nakapagconcentrate ako sa college. Alam mo tama lang un, kase at some point in your life magwawala ka din, mapapariwara.
Promise sya lang ung kumausap saken nung second year high school kame.
At walang pagsisisi. EL I love you!
Fan ako ng small groups pero I like our group now kahit super laki. Mas marami, mas masaya. Sa ngayon 20 na kame. Pwede na kameng isang buong kumpletong klase. O di ba? Ang saya saya!

so im back
only to be saying goodbye soon. i dont know, i think i deserve a fresh start. new stories, without correlating anything on my past experiences. i've been on shitty but mostly enjoyable moments but i believe i need to start all over again. i remember when i got to hk, no one knew about my past relationships, no one knew that im a shy girl, no one knew that i am worth something. in five years i turned things around. i started liking other people, i became an extrovert, i got involved in plenty other useful things.
i've been reading my entry for the last 12 months and i realize that im just talking about almost the same stuff: getting drunk, jerk ex-bf, struggle being single, stressful work. seriously, do i really need to write about them? do i need to waste my time with them? i dont have to, but i still do. i've written so many entries about being pathetic and breaking away from it, and yet i still write whenever a new event comes up. no matter how i say i moved on, i really contradict myself a few weeks later.
i need a new area to rant. i need a new venue to tell my secrets. a new site which no one knows. a new site that i can talk about other people without fearing they may one day read it.

the day came
i saw b and his gf. we were biking and j and i got lost and for some reason we bumped into them. he was looking good. the girl looked typical cute young chinese girl. i didnt feel any bitterness but i had 'that' reaction. it's the normal reaction when you see someone you used to love and you see him/her with someone new. it's not always that easy to brush aside. not that you dont want to be that girl on the other side, im just saying it's a surprise and no matter how many times you play that scene in your head, you will never be ready. m said that that's because there were things unsaid when we broke up. there's never a civil break-up. people need to tell each other why they think the other had been a jerk/bitch.
but as usual my friends got my back. they were trying hard albeit in a slightly brutal way to help me deal with it. a few times in your life everything becomes just plain shitty, and sometimes you're lucky you have true friends to help you go through it. it's almost a year since our 'renewed' friendship has strengthened and i swear i wouldnt have taken it the other way.

i dont get the ofw love
it's all about the money, damn it.
screw being a family/national hero. you go abroad because you think it's the better and much quicker way to earn money. well in my case it's also being completely independent and able to travel, but yes money is definitely a factor. you want to get paid as much for the hard work that you put it, and that's fine. if i work my ass off in the philippines as much as i work here, then might as well choose the one that can pay bigger bills, right?
i just saw a pinas network station id recently that glorifies ofw's so much that it borderlines annoying. there was this woman who says she's going through a rough time everyday that she cries every night. she says she's doing it for her family. that she longs to be with her family.
puh-lease.. there's always a choice. there's always a choice to go home. if you cannot take the heat in the kitchen then go to the living room, but dont expect to eat. i obviously just made that silly expression. hahahaha... anyway, you set your priorities. are you after the money or being with your loved ones? if you choose the former then dont f*ckin' complain! give up your love for gadgets, give up your above average lifestyle and spend time with your family back home. i dont get why people cry when they're homesick. i dont see it as a weakness but more on trying hard to act like a victim when you're actually a hedonistic bitch who cannot sleep without your branded sleepwear after you set the alarm of your super expensive mobile phone.
yes i do miss my family. but i chose to be here so might as well be strong and stop being overpowered by emotions. i can always visit them and i dont let the 'homesickness' get the best of me. not that im cold hearted. i just live up to my decision. i know right when i boarded the plane that this means not taking care of my aging parents. or not seeing my protege bloom into a full grown teenager. or my friends changing partners without really seeing their faces. i was ready for these. i can always catch up but im aware that it is still different when you're physically present. and im ok with that. i accepted that.
turn away from the money if you'd rather see your children grow. there is always a job in the philippines. it may just be a tiny portion of what you earn now, but as far as job availability is concerned, there is a always job advert when you look around. the money may not be much but im sure your lifestyle will adjust and it will all be just fine.
sorry, i know this rant seems senseless. but there, i just dont like everyone hyping it up because there is such a thing as over-sensationalizing.

last night was crazy
it was the hk rugby 7's and we partied so hard we acted like westerners. we've been dancing the whole time, we got really wasted that we were swaying when we went to a friend's place to sleep. there were 4 of us and it so happened that we were the four people in the group who, let's just say have notorious stories when drunk. we were all nursing a bad hangover the morning after. they were all gagging but i was surprisingly the only one who didnt have to do that. hahahahaha...
anyway. the highlights of the night were having my bag stolen. yep i lost my winter coat, housekeys and phone with it. good thing i got my money and id's with me so it's not really that earth shattering. it feels good to be phone-less for a while. i think ill go crazy if i lose my id again! i just got a new one 3 weeks ago so it would be embarrassing to get a new one. they might think that losing my id became a hobby of mine.
the biggest highlight would be: kissing someone. ha! i know it was just brought about by booze. but yeah it feels nice. how come all my kiss moments start in bars? i wish i can tell you more about it. but errrr... i'd rather not. it's sorta one of 'em aawwww moments i'd keep the details to myself for a while.

BS 77-86
im not religious. i dont know, but during primary school i was consistently awarded the 'best in christian living'. i suspect that they only give it to me because i was at the top of the class but it's a tradition to let the students who made it to honor roll an extra award. i was not good in arts, music, sports, so voila, the questionable award. i swear i dont remember exhibiting any role model character in a religious kind of way. then i was put to an all girls catholic school in secondary year. but for some reason i did not enjoy it. i do not get why we had to pray before and after each class plus a morning praise then an angelus, and we still have a one and a half hour religion subject! then we are required to do some church participation on weekends. gaaahhh!!
i believe in a supreme being. you can call him/her/it anyway you like but i call him papa jesus. what i do not like is the catholic teaching. i think it borders on crazy and ridiculous. i believe in doing good and not hurting other people. i dont really worry about what will happen to me after death. a lot of catholic people are so preoccupied with what happens after that they tend to repress themselves on their living days. this is what i think: when i do good, im happy. so you see, if there is such a thing as heaven, i'd go there because of my good deeds as per catholic teaching. if there isnt such a thing and we just return to the ground then that's fine. at least i lived my life happily. i go for what i want. i dont hurt other people intentionally. i lived without any grudge, so if there's no heaven with beautiful people and you dont age and get fat, then that' fine. i had my share of heaven a few times in my life.
and what's up with masses? i only like the singing part. but other than that, i'd prefer to do my praises and pleas personally. it must be the sense of belongingness in a community that they're after... but isnt faith personal? i dont know... i pray when i need something. i pray more when im thankful. on my own.
anyway, you'd think it would be hypocritical to say this... i like taking photos of churches though. i dont like the statues.. but i like to see the human extravagance to demonstrate to pay tribute to his/her faith. you see the most luxurious things inside churches. perhaps it give them the sense of pride. for me, they're more like museums. only you can take pictures as much as you want. :)
last christmas e and i did photowalk around pampanga churches. and mind you, they are from different provinces so you have to give us credit for our effort. i've always wanted to do it but e got her car when i started working so we never really found the time. our province is known for its grand churches. we went to 7 churches that day. here you go:

Exciting things worth looking forward to
I told you my life has been pretty jammed lately.
Here are the things I will be doing in the next 3 months. It’s not much. Considering I have 4 weekends for the bloody Canton Fair. Gaaaahhh!!
1) will watch the play EQUUS – yes, the play that marked the end of youngster roles of Daniel Radcliffe
2) will see MOMIX REMIX – description says it’s a dance illusionist show. It’s a mixture of ballet, comedy and circus in a surreal backdrop
3) will see THE SCRIPT live – yep, we got tickets to the popular Irish band that popularized The Man Who Can’t Be Moved and Breakeven. I’m going with the whole PM! Yeeeey!!!
4) Will see THE HOUSE OF DANCING WATER in Macau – it’s supposed to be the most expensive show on earth with a budget of 2 billion HK dollars. I got the cheapest ticket but reviews say it’s ok because it looks spectacular in any angle
5) will go to GUIMARAS and enjoy the beach and eats lots and lots of mangoes. It’s my favorite fruit and I’m not joking when I say I can eat a kilo of green mango just by myself in one sitting.
6) Will go to ILOILO and take photos of their nice churches. It’s touted as the Vigan of the south with its old churches. Good for taking photos!
7) Will go HOME and see the family and bestfriends. Yippee!!
8) Will go to PENANG and snorkel at Pulau Payar and party with n! Woopee!
9) will participate in the HK YOGATHON for the HK breast cancer foundation. i find my inner peace when i do yoga. and what a great opportunity to do it while raising breast cancer awareness? it's the cancer that pulls my heartstrings because i've had relatives who died from it. anyway, it's a yoga event where they invite several yoga instructors and everyone's encouraged to join. it's an outdoor venue so it should be a good experience. it's an 8hr event and i hope to do at least 4. wish me luck!
Hmmm…gotta plan some more. Not much, no? hehehe…

the time when i just relaxed
i may be traveling here and there but you see i've always been restless. im actually more exhausted when im on vacation because i always try to make the most out of my time out that i just schedule 10 activities in a day. i rise up early to take sunrise and i sleep late.
but yesterday was different. i went to shenzhen with 3 friends and we just made it our ME DAY. we were originally planning on doing go kart and happy valley sightseeing then a massage to cap the day. but it was raining that we ended up on the spa the whole day.
we started with the nice chinese lunch and then had our body scrubbed. it's as what you imagined it to be. you hire someone to scrub all your body. the lady did not miss any part except for my genitalia and my scalp. and scrub she did. i use sponge or loofah whenever i take a bath but i was surprised to see so much dead skin cells out of my body it's embarrassing!
then we headed out for a nice chinese style massage. it's a good 90minute session that you would really feel that your blood circulation has improved. it's one of the best feelings in the world having your muscles soothed like that.
last is the ear cleaning session. just when you thought you've done a good job with your cotton buds, ear cleaning shall change that. it's a bit eekie having something sharp go through your inner ear like that but you'd really feel the difference.
we spent 7-8 hours in the spa. we did all of these plus a couple of billiard game. in the end we ended up buying a few oil paintings in shenzhen before heading for a late dinner. those should make a good BS.
we spent quite a fortune but considering that it's our way of thanking our body for all the hardwork, it was well worth it. it's equivalent to an expensive night out.. only this time without hangover! i love spas! woopee!

sorry you have to bear with me on this post. you can call it anti thesis to moving on, desperate, pathetic or whatever you call it. di ko naman ibig sabihin na gusto kong balikan si b. sa totoo lang masaya naman ako sa buhay ko. ang dami kong nilolook forward na mga bagay bagay. mas exciting pa nga buhay ko ngayon.it's the being loved i miss, not him.

i havent posted about tioman last year. so here you go. it would have to be one of my best snorkeling experiences ever. if you were to ask me to name my top 3 snorkel destinations so far, tioman is definitely included. i'd go for tioman, balicasag, coron... not necessarily in that order.
anyway, this trip was not originally included in my itinerary. i just planned on going to singapore to meet n and my sister (who was in sg that time looking for a job) but it seemed that a vacay with n was not the same without a beach. there were other choices such as bintan, langkawi, penang as they are the cheap ones... but we bravely arranged tioman because there were good reviews from her friends and in the net.
it was my first trip in a malaysian place and i must say i loved it (that's why im going to 3 malaysian places this year! ha!). the place that we stayed in has a very nice manager and he really accommodated us poor travelers. their food was superb and the room is ok considering the money that we paid. and did i say that he's nice? it's not the crush type but he certainly did a good job giving me a good impression about malaysians.
but the best thing about tioman is marine life. it's craaaazy! we went to two different snorkel sites. one is a marine sanctuary where they breed fish and you could see fish that are big enough to scare you because of their size. think about a single milkfish that you can buy for 200 pesos. that big. then the other one is superb. we basically snorkel-circled one tiny island and you could see the variety of marine life in there. it's my first time to see a baby shark, a pawikan and so many different types of fish --- all in 30-45 minute snorkel experience!!! there were two batches of snorkelers because a & h had to go back to sg the next day. i accompanied both. we went to the same areas but i still enjoyed them all the same!
after this trip i bought an underwater camera. i would not want to miss any other snorkel moments.
i did not take much photos from this trip. i enjoyed it that much that i preferred to stay in my snorkel suit and kept looking at the beauty that is tioman.
people in the photo are n and her friends. the other girl happened to be the sister of the bf of r, my filthy dormmmate. small world, e?

on the day that i was supposed to start my work in madrid, i did a quick stopover at the PARQUE DE RETIRO before going to the madrid fairgrounds. it is considered the lungs of madrid. it's a huge park at the center of madrid and a good walk around its oval would make you appreciate the sights of madrid. it's nice to see that despite the cold winter weather you can still see lush greens and good sunlight. i saw some cyclists, too! makes me want to go and pedal soon! i hope we do biking soon.

stress buster
Remember when Friendster was so ‘in’? Then you put bulletin posts with surveys. Don’t you just miss them? Got these from a friend:
My earliest memory is:
- my aunts coming from work and were teasing me from downstairs that they bought me something. I hurried down and fell on the whole flight of stairs. I was three.
At school
– you mean grade school? I was one of the brightest.
My first relationship was
- with J.
I don’t like talking about
- food calorie content. Food is meant to be enjoyed! If you do count how it’s going to add to your body fats, don’t waste your time talking about it to other people. It’s plain annoying and senseless.
My most treasured possession is
- my camera. Wait, maybe my blog.
My mother and father always told me
- I’m too good and ambitious to settle down. See, I’ve been brainwashed all my life! hehehe
In the movie of my life, I’d be played by
- Sarah Geronimo. Sorry, I’m such a fan!
I wish I had
– lots and lots of money. I’d travel and study for the rest of my life.
I wish I hadn’t
– lent money to friends who never pay – twice!
My guiltiest pleasure is
– listening and dancing to boybands' hits from the 90's
When I was a child I wanted to
– be a scientist, then a journalist, then a lawyer. Now I’m a saleswoman.
Its not fashionable, but I love
– net stockings
If I could travel anywhere, I’d choose
– Great Barrier Reef
My greatest fear is
- losing mobility. I’d rather die than live with body parts missing.
The hardest thing I’ve ever done was
– deal with heartbreaks. Char!!!
I relax by
- taking photos
What I don’t find amusing are
- Twitter. Branded Products. Shopping. Fine Dining. Staying in expensive hotels. Obsession over Apple products.
My worst job was
– working in a call center
If I wasn’t me I’d like to be
– one of the travel show hosts in Natgeo or Discovery Channel
I am most grateful for
- my family. We’re not the i-love-you type but I know that even if I’m the dumbest person in the world they’d still love me.
My biggest regret is
- booking that flight to Iloilo wrong!!! Faaaak, that’s $600 rebooking fee!
The five people I would invite to the perfect dinner party would be
– father, mother, sister, e, husband-to-be
The person I admire the most is
– if it was someone I really know, it would have to be my father. But if it was someone I read from history books, it would have to be Leonardo da Vinci.
My favourite childhood television program was
- Ang TV
I collect
– nice photos, fridge magnets
My worst habit is
– losing things
The thing I most wish could change about me is
– my height. I wish I was taller. Then I’d be a cabin crew.
I’d like to be remembered for
– being the little Filipina girl who travelled to 150 destinations for vacation with her own hard earned money before she turned 40, and wrote and took nice photos of them
My earliest memory is:
- my aunts coming from work and were teasing me from downstairs that they bought me something. I hurried down and fell on the whole flight of stairs. I was three.
At school
– you mean grade school? I was one of the brightest.
My first relationship was
- with J.
I don’t like talking about
- food calorie content. Food is meant to be enjoyed! If you do count how it’s going to add to your body fats, don’t waste your time talking about it to other people. It’s plain annoying and senseless.
My most treasured possession is
- my camera. Wait, maybe my blog.
My mother and father always told me
- I’m too good and ambitious to settle down. See, I’ve been brainwashed all my life! hehehe
In the movie of my life, I’d be played by
- Sarah Geronimo. Sorry, I’m such a fan!
I wish I had
– lots and lots of money. I’d travel and study for the rest of my life.
I wish I hadn’t
– lent money to friends who never pay – twice!
My guiltiest pleasure is
– listening and dancing to boybands' hits from the 90's
When I was a child I wanted to
– be a scientist, then a journalist, then a lawyer. Now I’m a saleswoman.
Its not fashionable, but I love
– net stockings
If I could travel anywhere, I’d choose
– Great Barrier Reef
My greatest fear is
- losing mobility. I’d rather die than live with body parts missing.
The hardest thing I’ve ever done was
– deal with heartbreaks. Char!!!
I relax by
- taking photos
What I don’t find amusing are
- Twitter. Branded Products. Shopping. Fine Dining. Staying in expensive hotels. Obsession over Apple products.
My worst job was
– working in a call center
If I wasn’t me I’d like to be
– one of the travel show hosts in Natgeo or Discovery Channel
I am most grateful for
- my family. We’re not the i-love-you type but I know that even if I’m the dumbest person in the world they’d still love me.
My biggest regret is
- booking that flight to Iloilo wrong!!! Faaaak, that’s $600 rebooking fee!
The five people I would invite to the perfect dinner party would be
– father, mother, sister, e, husband-to-be

i tried wargame last weekend. it was so damn fun that i'd like to keep doing it over and over again.
got a few realizations:
1) wargame is fun. im not the first person to like it after the first try
2) there are many cute chinese men. i just dont see them on weekends because they're all playing wargames
3) wargame players are not war freaks. they are a gentle bunch of friendly people
4) shooting someone with consecutive bb pellets feels so good
5) im not good at flirting! i had a crush on one of the instructors and i could barely keep the conversation. aaaahhhh!!!

time heals all wounds

i know you're thinking that i've completely lost my interest in this project. but you see i've been really busy with stuff. you have no idea how my calendar is filled every day that if one element comes in, i would not know how to fit it.
im filled on monday-thursday by work + working out, friday is for mandarin session + getting drunk, saturday is for my close friends, and sunday is for running house errands. i know i've been desperately wishing for a boyfriend but i really dont know how i'd squeeze him in. unless we live together which we know by now is really the start of fucked up relationships i'd have, so we might as well dismiss the idea.
i love being busy. i feel so bad if i've got nothing to do. i always look for doing new things. today i tried doing the airsoft wargame and boy it felt so good. it's like all my depression has been shot away together with the bb bullets. it feels good to shoot someone, with pellets of course. more stories about that tomorrow when i get the pics.
anyway, since i've been gone for two weeks, i'll give you one of my most memorable experiences. TOLEDO. it would have to be one of my best destinations to date. moscow was lovely with the red square but other than that it's still one densely populated city. madrid was ok but you see some vandals in some places... but toledo... aaahhh, you just won't run out of good things to say. every turn is really picturesque. and i am not even exaggerating!
I am very poor with directions. I went to Toledo with a huge map only to find it more of a disadvantage. That bloody map was really confusing that I was lost for 3 hours before I reached the center. I was that poor with directions. I literally walked the whole expressway and ended up on the residential area until someone came to help and pointed me the way. Thank god for nice locals! The expressway walk was ok. I was able to take photos while walking. It’s like walking in a very old city that you see in the movies. You see castles, brick buildings, and everything is just yellow. But boy when I reached the center, the feeling is just much more than your average orgasm. It’s that overwhelming. It’s like being in a set of a period movie and you find yourself looking for people in corsets and carriages because you’d be convinced of the backdrop. The ayuntamiento was good, the alcazar was lovely, the infantry school was marvelous, the museum was quaint but delightful… but these are nothing compared to the cathedral. I’m not a religious person but once inside that super grand cathedral, you will feel the blessings of heavens. It’s like the beautiful works of god has been concentrated in that place. You will get intimidated by the luxury of the church and royals from way back then. It’s like you despise them for being too luxurious, but you love them for having exquisite taste. If not for it, how can you see such beauty in your lifetime?
I kept walking the whole day. I only stopped when I had the asian buffet for lunch. I know it was a stupid thing to do, but I was really craving for sushi at that time. It didn’t fail me and I was able to eat as much sushi and sashimi to my heart’s content.
It was raining on my way back. Good thing I checked the weather and I was able to bring my compact umbrella. It was raining really hard so imagine me in my wintercoat, freezing, drenched and walking fast because I was afraid to miss my train. I was walking for a good one hour and I just made it in time for my train.
I wish I can tell you what a beauty Toledo is but even though I say one hundred positive words I guess it will not be enough.

so what makes you happy? for me...
Happiness is…
1) Traveling, talking to locals, getting lost then finding your way after a few hours but while on it you find a surprise destination that makes you want to say, good thing i did not follow the guide book
2) reading mails from long time friends
3) taking photos all day, all night
4) exchanging ILY’s with someone, romantic or not
5) crossing the pedestrian lane just in time before the man turns red
6) eating Vietnamese food, and Japanese food, too!
7) waking up on Sunday morning. I love Sundays. It’s like you were able to rest from the wild and hectic Saturday, and you can always turn it into a good day to start the following week right
8) listening to the songs you used to love from years back on the radio
9) having bbq with the family
10) doing a joyride with e and c, then stopping for zagu along the road
11) watching a very nice movie that you think about it for at least a week more
12) being on top of a mountain after a long hike
13) snorkeling
14) reading a good book by favorite author on a quiet night
15) dancing, singing along and/or just banging your head while on a concert of your favorite band
16) hugging people you care about
17) going downhill when riding a bike and the wind just blows through your face
18) reading a note from the government that you don’t pay much tax
19) seeing old couples still with love in their eyes
20) solving a Sudoku puzzle

so im back in hk. i really had a marvelous trip, until i lost my hk id and credit card today.. fuuuuckk! anyway, let's get over it. they are gone for good and it should not impede my story telling about my madrid trip.
so the story continues...
i showed you the night shots of the palacio real and catedral de nuestra seƱora de almudena. i did the whole tour of palacio real which officially kicked off my madrid sightseeing journey. i was lost for an hour until i found my way to the main route. and boy it was so grand it's unbelievable! every room is filled with very rich designs and they are filled with luxurious stuff that it could intimidate anyone. i've never been to any palace before and i must tell you that what you see in the movies are not an exaggeration. when you leave the palace you'd feel that life is unfair that you live in a tiny room when the royalties lived in such elegance and richness... but somehow you'd feel proud that at least once in your life you were able to witness such a beauty.

infront of it is the biggest cathedral in madrid. i did a whole tour of it on my last day but photo taking was not allowed. it's just big on its size but i've seen better churches in this trip. it's just big and perhaps it is lucky to have been facing the palacio real the whole time that the association with a grand place gives it more credit than it deserves.

i woke up the next day very early to go to toledo, spain's former capital. i'll post more photos of toledo on my future posts, but meanwhile i share these photos that i took while waiting for the train. one is the madrid-atocha renfe station, then the agriculture ministry building. don't you just love madrid?!? it's so european as we imagined it to be. hihihi..
