this is about the yogathon i did earlier this year. i mentioned about it on my older posts but never really told the story. it was on a sunday and i came from a very late night out with friends. the call time was at 11am but i had to wake up earlier because it is quite far from where i live. this would be the first time that i'd be doing outdoor yoga. just imagine the direct sunlight, dusty street, and constant distraction from people going around everywhere. it's just against all that is yoga.
it's an 8hr affair. participants could always go for much less as the event consisted of 8 x 1hr yoga sessions sponsored by different yoga centers. i've always had the intention to finish all the 8hrs. i've been addicted to yoga ever since the year started and i think this would be one of the turning points that would indicate if i really liked it or not. i was close to giving up after the fourth hour. imagine being there since 11am, then you miss your lunch and afternoon snack, and you know you'd be exhausted to take dinner. but i somehow managed to pull myself through and i looked at is as half-empty half-full analogy. i was halfway finished. just a little more effort and i could finish my goal. and i did. im glad i did. there were so many useless challenges/dares in my life that i dont really have to do, but i did anyway... but this feat is really one of a kind and im happy i didnt fold.
why?
1) im doing this for the breast cancer foundation
2) it is my form of salutation to yoga, the hobby that kept me sane and grounded for all of 2011. nothing could ever give me much peace than yoga.
3) i'd take it as the most taxing physical activity i've had so far
4) when i posted this photo in facebook, A commented for the first time and he kept liking my posts eversince. and the love story began. :)
thank you yogathon!!!
