tapos ngayon medyo kinakabahan ako sa flight ko. pwede ba sabihin mo dun sa kauri mong tropical depression, tigilan na ang pinas? alam ko resilient race kame, pero pwede ba pabangunin mo bago kayo magfull force? kase ang hirap makarecover sa devastation mo, tapos may dadating pa?! or better yet dont come at all! we dont need you! kthnxbai!

super super big deal

im planning on doing something big scale. as in the biggest undertaking ever.

it will make me live on scant personal allowance for the next five years. as in walang mintis na 1700 lang per month ang pwede ko gastusin. bawal na talaga lahat. walang savings. walang big purchase. walang impulse buying. wala. wala. wala.

haay...sana lang matupad! tapos boom! 2015 na!

after a quarter of a century experience...

nette asked me how i was doing last week through ym. without further thinking, i replied:

im good. fat. overworked. but somehow happy.

and you know what? after the shemexes and despite the cliches, i think i am really happy. aaahhh... the joys of living.

i am going home! mere 5 days but enough to keep me from missing home til the big bang vacation on the next cny.

LG the concert

it’s a pop concert slash fashion show slash drag party. You could really see some peeps with blonde wigs and/or stilettos and crappy stockings. and it’s a full house! We got the cheapest ticket, but I think we got the best row amongst the cheapest! The bitch’s got talent, for reals. Every body had a good time. I know my video’s too messed up. they confiscated my dslr so i had to use my little camera which i forgot to charge. i was only supposed to use it as props. you have to give it to security people these days. they dont give in easily. here you go...

how i celebrated my bday

i would have to say that it's the best birthday celebration i had in my stay in hk.

a lot of people dropped me a line in fb, texted, called, emailed.. it must be the birthday where i got the most number of greetings.

i had a joint celebration with darl and we had so much fun. A total of 20 friends dropped by and i was amazed at how we our group grew over the years. we only started with 4, and now we're 20 and growing! it's so nice to catch up with everyone.


my colleagues took me to a chinese resto for lunch on the 26th.

then my housemate took me and b to a brazilian buffet on the night of my bday. impacho galore. japanese bar is love.

then after the buffet we went to a jazz concert of an acquaintance. he was really good. but our impacho prevented us from staying longer so we went home instead.

then the weekend immediately after my birthday, some kiddos accompanied by their parents had a little celebration with the money i donated to an NGO called pusong pinoy. i gave them some dinero and i have to say that they did a good job making do with the small amount i gave them for the number of people they fed, as well as the games they played. it's so nice how you can bring joy to others even if you cannot be physically present.



so what if im old? if bday celebs keep getting better as you grow old, then let me have my bday every month! though that would make me broke even more. haha!:)

my new assistant

i know this is mean... but i don't like my assistant...

i can forgive the imperfect english. or the slooooooow work... even the lack of initiative to learn. it's a disgrace for her age to not get what i am teaching her when she's supposed to be in the same industry for years!

but the breath! oh god! it gets worse every morning! it's as if she woke up, got dressed, and went to the office. no brushing. no gargling. maybe she didn't even eat breakfast. at least if you eat something, i can smell food. but aaaaaccccckkkkk!!! i really had to cover my nose and/or distance myself from her whenever she asks me something first thing in the morning.

lord, pls be nice. give me a new job. i dont want to die by stress. or air pollution.

why i am broke now...

here are my purchases last month:

1) toaster - you have to spare me this one. i didn't come from a rich family. so when we were craving for pizza and we couldn't buy one, we will make do with buns from sari sari store, a sachet of pizza sauce, and all left over meat that we could find in our fridge, then we'd use our rusty pans to heat them. we didn't even have a flat pan then. just imagine the burnt parts of the bread. aahhhh!!! you have no idea how i promised myself that i'd buy a toaster with my own money to make mini pizzas! and now?! dream come true! yihee! happiness is worth $250!

2) wii - i was never good at computer games. i cannot even finish one level of mario bros. not even brick games, damn it! but when we went to darl's place and played wii, i am hooked! it is not just a computer/tv game. it's a lifestyle! hahaha! i am now a professional tennis player in the wii world! yeheeey!!!

3) dresses. shoes. dresses. shoes. - have i said that hk is a dangerous place? there's a cute boutique every ten steps you take and you just can't say 'no'.. how can you refuse nice sun dresses for 20 bucks? it may be cheap but when you buy 4 of it in a day. then 4 more the following day. then you think of scarves to go with it! and the shoes!!! aahhhhhh!! and the purse! and the earrings!!! aaaahhhhh!!

4) those expensive shampoo and conditioner. and electric toothbrush! - good hygiene is confidence. buy them from watsons and feel good because you think that you made a good purchase. then you go to the supermarket and buy super cheap instant noodles because you ran out of money. only to find out that that supermarket sells exactly the same stuff for 12 bucks cheaper! each! fuck! i felt extremely cheated! syet! boo watsons boo!

movies that i watched lately

-another free 3d movie. i hope maia does well in disney so we get free screening every time! it would have to be my favourite animated movie next to lilo and stitch.

-trailer was good. acting was good. it still did not meet my high expectations. miles behind little ms sunshine.
