not so excitement filled week

Is it the season of idleness? I haven't been doing much lately. I think it's the season. Spring, don't ever leave me again. Winter is horrible, causing me sleepless nights and allergies from warmers. With you, Spring, I feel like a schoolgirl who is innocently having fun. Please don't ever leave my side.

Anyway, here are the things that I did when I wasn't sleeping or slacking around last week:

1. Watched "The Queen." Helen Mirren is a gem. I don't know much about British history, except for lusting for Prince William. But this movie made me sympathize with the royal family and the rich people in general. They may have a glamorous life, but they can't enjoy the independence that commoners like us enjoy.

2. Watched "Pan's Labyrinth." Superb movie - the kind that doesn't let you sleep because of the trauma but still makes you smile when you leave the moviehouse because you know that every cent you paid is worth it.

3. Had dinner with my big boss at an Italian restaurant. Food was great but overall, the affair was just another one of those bullsh*t sessions. You just have to admit your mistakes and promise to improve for the better.

4. Attended an IDP event. They held a fair that assists hopeful students on their dreams of having an Australian education. I love school with all the politics and relaxed atmosphere that it entails, but to pay for 30,000AUD tuition for a one and a half year academic year?! I better scout for scholarships now. The courses looked promising and I will barter three years of unattachment to somebody if I can afford that lump of money.

5. Watched "Love Me If You Dare," a French movie. It's been a while since I watched a French movie, but this one is truly one of the most refreshing Parisian movie ever. Game? Game!

6. Attended a meeting of the Philippine Photographers Club in Hong Kong. And dig this: I jotted the minutes. I know it isn't much, but to be doing something out of your passion? Really priceless. It's not a sweat at all! And we were even invited to contribute images. I know my images are negligible compared to theirs, but the thought of being invited puts me in cloud nine already.

7. Finished Murakami's "Dance Dance Dance." It was ok. Not one of my favorite Murakami's masterpieces, but still an entertaining read. Lots of good life's lessons, too.

8. Got my renewed passport. In a span of five years, I became darker, fatter and my hair is a mess! Oh well, I couldn't be bothered. At least I am wiser and happier.
