Hong Kong - Clearwater Bay, Sai Kung

I rejoined my hikemates, Petra and Kitty (yes, those are their English names), after five hike-less months. I had just been busy with social stuff that I always decline their invitation.

Our first stop: Tai Miu. I don't know why they claim it to be just around 2 hour hike. It's definitely more than 2 hours! Way more! More than double!

Some flora you can find while hiking

Petra and Kitty are very adventurous like me. We could have gone straight ahead, but we opted to take the hard route so we can have better view. The trail is way steeper and harder and we needed additional 2 hours, but it was definitely worth it. Good thing we did, and it was indeed a much better view.

Just one of 'em mountains

Hundred Islands, eh?!

Syempre kailangan may tourist shot.

The Hongkongers in this area, usually from the upper class, have three hobbies:

1.) Flying model planes (not so costly, but imagine having to hike for 4 hours then having the faith that you precious plane will not run out of battery and eventually crash)

2.) Playing Golf - The most costly of all. The club is located atop a mountain. So you can treat the entire harbor as your golf course.

3.) Fishing - For peace lovers like me, there is nothing more relaxing than listening to ocean waves while waiting for some stupid fish to be lured by your bait.

After a 6 hour hike, off we go to the Fishing Village. This is the community viewed from the top.

And this is the village up close. Malabon ba ito? Bundok lang pala pagitan ng Hong Kong at Malabon.

So dapat adventure, sige try ang pagkamahal mahal na fried rice with sea urchin. Nasan ang sea urchin? Un daw ung little yellow pieces. Ah ok, taba lang ng talangka e!

After a sumptuous meal, there's no other way to go but thank St Buddha. So we went to Temple Sung.

Some wind toy. Nice no?! It's been more than one month since the CNY pero meron pa ding ganito. Sabagay ung mga xmas decors nga sa bahay namen sa pinas, holy week na tinatanggal.

My ever reliable rubber shoes.

So much for conquering Sai Kung, eh?!
