my goodness, Siem Reap is B E A U T I F U L ! ! !
my friends have been saying the same thing but you have to feel (not just see, you have to feel it with your heart!) to prove them right.
i was a bit discouraged by the poipet, the border city (i went inland and did a full day travel from bangkok to siem reap) but when you see siem reap, it's definitely worth all the fatigue!
the orange brownish soil, the humble people, the incredible temple ruins... it's like taking you back in time and you say to yourself, what the heck, asia has gotten much more civilized than the western world. we should be the superpower!! what the hell happened?!?
oh the people. they are the nicest people on earth and even though they're the poorest people on earth they seem to be living an honest and dignified life. im taken back to my childhood days with all the farmlands and no gigantic billboards.
