c is my malaysian-chinese colleague.

c: can you check the other computer and see if i can use it instead?
b: i don't think you can use it. it's in chinese. you have to let the computer guy change it. why don't you leave it as it is?
c: they have to change it anyway. they hired somebody who cannot understand chinese.
b: ah really? what's the nationality?
c: abc.
b: what?
c: abc.
b: where the hell are abc's from?
c: abc = american born chinese.
b: oh.
